Representation of emotion in English syntax and teaching Russian EFL students

چکیده
The article looks into English simple utterances about a person’s emotional state. authors dwell on the ways sentence patterns are employed in states and reveal types of propositions (event schemas) structuring states. also discuss factors that determine way particular event is conceptualized structured describe mechanisms underlying representation syntax choice pattern for an utterance this event. Special attention given to mechanism conceptual metaphor manifests itself patterns. paper lists propositional schemas mapped onto concepts experiences singles out regular correspondences between source domain target-domain these metaphorical mappings. tackle issue applying knowledge teaching Russian EFL students use correctly authentically. Teaching proposed approach aimed at helping assimilate as models reality with their metaphoric extensions then develop skills employing speaking.
